The Event is FREE & Public

DC Solar United Neighborhoods ("DC SUN") and the Ward 7 Solar Coop announce DC Solar Flare a renewable energy tech show - Saturday June 16 at HD Woodson High School. This event is free and open to everyone excited about saving money while preserving their environment and creating new jobs! Click HERE for program details!

DC Solar Flare will feature:

  • efficiency & renewable energy and green living businesses and organization exhibitors
  • science and energy displays and activities for kids
  • workshops and speakers on how to go solar; save energy, money and live greener
  • films like 4th Revolution: Energy Autonomy and An Inconvenient Truth
  • Solar Photovoltaic, Solar Thermal and Solar Cooking demonstrations
  • solar projects: solarized exhibit tent and solar-powered WiFi network
  • healthy food vendors

The DC Solar Flare is being organized by members of the Ward 7 Solar Coop and DCSUN. Learn more about DCSUN by watching our video (above) if you haven't already.

Who should attend?

You should attend if you answer yes to any of the following questions:
  • Are you interested in learning more about solar energy?
  • Do you want to connect with DC-based green companies?
  • Do you want lower electricity bills?
  • Do you want to learn about cool, green technologies?
  • Do you want to meet people passionate about sustainability and creating a green economy?

This will be a family event -- children are welcome and encouraged to attend!
